The Government created the Goa Corporate Social Responsibility Authority (Goa CSR Authority) for a proper institutional arrangement under the Government so that assets created under the CSR initiative are taken care off at both the stages of implementation and maintenance.

The Goa CSR Authority is registered under Registrar of Companies, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, vide Registration No. CSROOO11574 and Societies Registration Act, 1860 vide Registration No. 17/GOA/2021. The Goa CSR Authority serve as a channel through which CSR funds are channelised to execute projects across various Government Departments with an emphasis that the projects shall benefit the Goan community and contribute towards the betterment of local society.

On formation of Goa CSR Authority, it has been making all out efforts in creation of its own identity. It has been striving hard to reach out to various Corporates/PSUs, Central Government Institutions etc. to motivate them for contributing CSR funds towards various sectors of economy across the State.
